St. Matthew – San Mateo Episcopal Church, a community of faith committed to the values of the Kingdom of God, has been serving the local community since 1895. We have been facilitating a “Sacred space” and “Holy ground” for the spiritual and religious needs of all people. Come and see!
We are a community living the Word of God in Christ to the best of our ability with joy, discernment, commitment and love.
During this time of clergy vacancy, a priest-in-charge will be assigned to the church.
In this phase, the congregation will create a profile of their church and its needs and wants.
The Congregational OTM Profile can be found on the Office of Transition Ministry site, https://www.otmportfolio.org. After logging into this site and reading the church profile, if you wish to apply for the position, send a copy of your OTM profile along with a resume and cover letter to the Canon to the Ordinary.
In this phase, we will be receiving names of potential candidates.
NOTE: We do a thorough red flag check on all applicants.
In this phase of the process, the Canon to the Ordinary will submit names to the congregation from all of the applicants for consideration.
At this point in the process, names received by the congregation will be further vetted for potential interviewing.
During this phase, the search committee will interview the candidates selected from the previous phase.
The final phase is the selection and call of the final candidate.
