This congregation is located on beautiful Mercer Island on Lake Washington.
Emmanuel’s mission statement is: “As a community, we believe we are called to welcome, worship, witness and serve in the name of the One, Holy and Living God. In The Episcopal Church, all are welcome. That means you. Join us for Sunday worship. Over coffee after church, we’d love to welcome you personally.”
Emmanuel’s ministry depends almost completely upon the involvement and leadership of our members. There are a wide variety of groups at Emmanuel that gather to pray, learn, socialize and serve. They put their faith into action by supporting ministries and groups on Mercer Island, the Seattle area and beyond by partnering with existing organizations such as the Salvation Army, NW Harvest, and Episcopal Relief & Development. This group also initiates hands-on projects several times throughout the year.

During this time of clergy vacancy, a priest-in-charge will be assigned to the church.
In this phase, the congregation will create a profile of their church and its needs and wants.
The Congregational OTM Profile can be found on the Office of Transition Ministry site, https://www.otmportfolio.org. After logging into this site and reading the church profile, if you wish to apply for the position, send a copy of your OTM profile along with a resume and cover letter to the Canon to the Ordinary.
In this phase, we will be receiving names of potential candidates.
NOTE: We do a thorough red flag check on all applicants.
In this phase of the process, the Canon to the Ordinary will submit names to the congregation from all of the applicants for consideration.
At this point in the process, names received by the congregation will be further vetted for potential interviewing.
During this phase, the search committee will interview the candidates selected from the previous phase.
The final phase is the selection and call of the final candidate.
